Computer Aided Design Drafters (CADD)
(50 positions available)
Responsibilities:
- Produce drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, Smallworld, ESRI, Integraph and other GIS software
- Produce technical details drawings, symbols, construction diagrams, GIS map and data collection
- Perform QA/QC for drafting work package based on original data source provided
- Ensure accuracy of data, graphic standard and specification is correctly drafted into current project system software
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma/Certificate in CAD
- Those without the above qualifications but with relevant years of CAD drafting experience are also encouraged to apply
- Graduates registered with the Economy Planning Unit are also encouraged to apply
- Willing to work in Penang / Kuala Lumpur (located in TPM)
- Willing to work on shifts
- Training will be provided
- Ability to comprehend English and has right working attitude
System & Database Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Support the database and system include planning, installing, configuring, maintaining and optimizing the system and database server
- Manage logical and physical database configurations, troubleshoot problems and be accountable for the successful delivery of projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field with 1 to 2 years of working experience on database administration
- Possess good database administration and troubleshooting skill
- Knowledge of SQL 2000/SQL2005/Oracle are mandatory
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Pro-active, self motivated, able to work in a team and independently
- Priority will be given to candidate familiar with major GIS software
Web Application Developer
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, design and maintenance of Web applications
- Develop and manage Web applications and database projects according to the System Development methodology
- Provide technical design and programming to integrate planning, design and project control applications
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and standards for application and implementation
- Gather users' requirements and able to translate into system design
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia or equivalent.
- Must be technically adapt in the following: J2EE (Servlets, EJB, JMS, JSP); Open Source products such as Apache; HTML, PHP and JavaScript; Microsoft Net, Visual C++ or Visual Basic will be an added advantage; Application and Database Platform; Database Programming
- Software methodology strong RDBMS skills such as Oracle, SQL Server, Ms Access, mysql etc
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Fresh graduate may apply for junior position
- Priority will be given to candidate familiar with major GIS software
Assistant Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer overall project costing, budgets, schedule and resource planning
- Support Project Manager on project delivery
- Coordinate and correspond with the client to leverage relationships and ensure ECHO's strategies and tactical actions are integrated across geographical boundaries to focus and meet the client's goals
- Encourage and nurture entrepreneurial attitude and develop new skills and capabilities
- Administer the development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Prepare annual budgets for the project to meet the clients Business Plan or Goals
- Ensure high quality of work and deliver the best value to the client
- Vendor evaluation and negotiation
- Sub-contractor evaluation and negotiation
- Ensure ECHO achieves its business plan and revenue projection
- Ensure high level of teamwork in the Project Delivery Team
Requirements:
- 35 years and above
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, Geography, Survey, Planning, Geo-Informatics and Electrical Engineering or other related technical degree
- More than 5 years experience in project management and implementation
- Experience in Telecom, GIS and data capture project will be an added advantage
- Experience in managing team size more than 10 peoples
- Good written and verbal presentation skills in English language
- Must have leadership qualities, people skills and understand customer values
- Experience in cost management, scheduling, planning and organizing
- Experience in Quality Control related activities
- Must have desire to be successful and always a solution provider
- Willing to travel when required
Senior Project Controller
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control project budget and make recommendation to Project Manager for variance control
- Establish standards and procedures for project Budget and Project Profitability Forecast
- Weekly and monthly Project Schedule and Status Reports will need to be created, including three week look-ahead schedules to closely track ongoing work
- Manage staff performance monitoring/tracking database
- Monitor timely receipt of worksheet and issuance of invoices
- Assist Project Manager in preparation of Project Budget and Project Profitability Forecast
- Follow up on billings and collections with Project Managers and assist Accounts Department on collection issues
- Highlight key issues impacting project execution timely to the Senior Management for immediate actions
- Manages and records internal and external documents such incoming and outgoing correspondence, reports, drawings, contract documents related to projects
- Compile and produce monitoring and tracking reports for the department or as assigned
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration/Accounting or Project Control related discipline
- Has more than 5 years working experience, preferably managing contract documents/project planning, monitor and cost control
- Has knowledge in documentations control practices
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Microsoft Project and Primavera Project Planner (P3)
- Knowledgeable in High level of initiative and able to work independently, long hours and meeting timelines
- Strong numeric skills and an ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong communication skill in English, able to interact with Project Managers and clients and able to conduct negotiation with third parties
- Possess own transport
